Yellow Watermelons are available year round but are much more prominent in the summer months. The unique outer color and texture has a lighter shade of green with darker rings around it. The inside flesh of the watermelon can vary from a bright gold to a pale yellow and can often offer a sweeter taste than your traditional red watermelon. Most people don’t know it, but the yellow watermelon is a natural variety of watermelon that simply lacks the red pigment that is prominent in the normal red watermelon.
